来たる 8月16日から23日にかけて、チェコ・プラハにて、毎年恒例の若者ハムの国際合宿「YOTA Summer Camp」（主催：国際アマチュア無線連合 第1地域委員会 Youth WG）が開催されます。この度、YOTA Japan からの参加者1名を含み、日本から3名の大学生が参加することとなりました。

YOTA Summer Camp は、世界中で広まっている「YOTA（Youngsters on the Air）」の取り組みの中核をなすイベントであり、10年以上の歴史があります。教育の専門家によって開発されたカリキュラムにより、DXやコンテストをはじめ、ARDF、デジタルモードや衛星通信の伝授、トランシーバーキットの自作など、アマチュア無線に関するあらゆる要素を、7日間で出来るだけ数多く体験します。日本からの参加は、今回が3回目となります。

参加する若者には、素晴らしい環境での学び合いと、「アマチュア無線」という共通のキーワードを持った仲間との国際交流を、7日間、目一杯楽しんでいただくことを期待しています。

The YOTA Summer Camp, an annual international event for young hams (organised by the Youth WG of the International Amateur Radio Union Region 1 Committee), will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 16 to 23 August. We are very pleased to announce that three university students from Japan, including one participant from YOTA Japan, will be taking part in the camp.

The YOTA Summer Camp is a core event of the world-wide Youngsters on the Air (YOTA) activities, which has been in existence for more than 10 years. With a curriculum developed by education experts, participants experience as many elements of amateur radio as possible in one-week program, such as DX, contesting, ARDF, digital modes, satellite communications and building their own transceiver kit. This participation in the camp is the third time for Japan.

We sincerely hope that the participating young people will enjoy the seven days program in a wonderful environment, with learning from each other and interacting internationally with their peers who share the common keyword: Ham Radio.
